Critic's Comments

"Mike is a man after my own heart - as long as it's good music, why not play it? If you like good musicianship and something out of the ordinary, give this a listen".
Brian Golbey, Country Music People

"Mike's cumulative credentials as performer, teacher, writer, contest winner and recording artist well warrant the description of 'globe trotting ambassador'. His intricately developed arrangements, tasteful exploration of the melodies and rich assortment of techniques are all carried off with an air of precision and an apparent ease that is nothing less than outstanding.
Eileen Roys, Autoharp Clearinghouse

"There is lots of lovely music here, played with imagination, skill and feeling. along with Kilby Snow, Bryan Bowers and Harvey Reid, Fenton is one who has brought the autoharp to a higher musical level. Good stuff."
David Freeman, County Sales Newsletter, Floyd, Va

"Mike will go down in history for having one of the fastest and cleanest techniques of following fiddle tunes note for note by using a thumb lead style that few can emulate."
Mike Herr, Autoharp Quarterly

"This CD may encourage old time fans to dust off the out-of-tune autoharp in the corner and play it again .... no British musician playing American music can even come close to the level of recognition Mike has in the USA. In so far as any one man and any one album can sum up an instrument, then this CD sums up the Autoharp."
Mike Preston, Old Time News

"On this recording Mike demonstrates his virtuosity with the autoharp ..... he is one of the the true modern masters of the autoharp both within the Appalachian tradition and beyond it. He is definitely worth a listen."
Steve Goldfield, Bluegrass Unlimited

"Mike Fenton has been in the forefront of the autoharp community performing, educating, researching and writing for nearly thirty years. His influence will be felt in the USA and Great Britain for years to come - he is today's Pied Piper of the Autoharp."
Proclamation, Autoharp Hall of Fame 1997
